Adefowora Abiodun, a suspected promoter of Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), has voluntarily surrendered to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation.
Abiodun, who was declared wanted by the EFCC alongside three others – Seyi Oloyede, Emmanuel Uko, and Adefowora Oluwanisola – over an alleged $1 billion investment scheme, turned himself in at the EFCC headquarters on Monday.
He was accompanied by his lawyers and expressed willingness to cooperate with investigators to clear his name.

Abiodun’s counsel, Babatunde Busari, stated that his client surrendered to correct the narrative in the media and clear his name.
The EFCC had obtained a court order to arrest and detain six suspected CBEX promoters, including Abiodun, pending the conclusion of investigations and possible prosecution.
The suspects named in the court order include: Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun; Adefowora Oluwanisola; Emmanuel Uko; Seyi Oloyede; Avwerosuo Otorudo; Chukwuebuka Ehirim.
