Popular Nigerian skit maker Zicsaloma has finally addressed the reasons behind his decision to undergo rhinoplasty, a surgical procedure aimed at reconstructing or reshaping the nose.
The comedian underwent the procedure in January 2025, opting for surgery in Turkey to alter the shape of his nose. Since then, he has been sharing updates on his post-surgery journey, offering glimpses into his recovery process.
However, his decision has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users criticizing him for going under the knife. In response to the backlash, Zicsaloma took to YouTube on Friday to explain his motivation.

He revealed that the procedure was something he had long desired since childhood, driven by deep-seated insecurities and past experiences of being ridiculed for his flat nose.
Addressing his critics, he stated: “Some people undergo rhinoplasty because of breathing problems, while others do it because they don’t like the shape of their nose—like me. In my case, it is aesthetic.
“Right from childhood, I have always wanted to reconstruct my flat nose. I was constantly ridiculed. People said my nose was too ugly and too big. So, if you don’t have the money or the courage to correct your insecurities, that doesn’t mean you should judge another person.”
