Rivers LG Chair Empowers Farmers With Tools

As part of activities to mark his 100 days in office, the Chairman of Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Matthew Nenubari Dike, has announced his readiness to distribute farm tools to farmers in the LGA.

Dike who revealed that the distribution exercise would hold on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Council Secretariat, Saakpenwa by 10am, invited sons and daughters of the LGA to the event.

He explained that the reason for sharing the farm implements and other agricultural support incentives is to support farmers as they kick-start the new farming season.

The LG chair stated this in a release by the Director Agriculture, Tai LGA, Mr Anderson Wariboko.

It noted that Wariboko, the chairman, and other leaders of the Council have inspected the items purchased and are available for distribution at the Council’s Secretariat.

Dike added that, “the gesture aimed at enhancing food production and security through agriculture, while also calling on all lovers of agriculture in the LGA to come and join in the quest to redefine development through agriculture in TGA.”
