Speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt, Andrew Azuka, CEO of Amexx Logistics Services Limited and UDO’s sole representative in Nigeria, revealed that the winners from each zone will compete in Lagos this August, where the overall champion will earn a spot to represent Nigeria and West Africa at the UDO World Championship in Cardiff, Wales, on August 13.

Azuka outlined the competition’s prize structure, with zonal winners receiving ₦2 million, ₦1.5 million, and ₦1 million for the first, second, and third places, respectively. The grand finale champion in Lagos will take home ₦5 million.

“United Dance Organisation (UDO) is one of the biggest organizers of dance world championships, with over 47 country partners and millions of viewers across the globe,” Azuka said.

“This competition is designed to empower young dancers, helping them hone their craft, showcase their talent to a global audience, and potentially launch international careers. We’ve made participation almost free, with only a ₦2,500 administrative fee.”
