Davido Brags On Spotify Chart Dominance Amid Wizkid’s Song Release

Afrobeats sensation Davido has reaffirmed his status as a trailblazer in the Nigerian music scene, celebrating his unparalleled achievement on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart.

The singer expressed pride after retaining his record as the only artist to dominate the chart’s top 16 positions for two consecutive days, even in the wake of a new album release by his fellow artist, Wizkid.

Wizkid’s latest album, Morayo, has set its own impressive records on Spotify, earning critical acclaim and significant streams. However, none of the tracks from Morayo managed to achieve the consecutive dominance that Davido accomplished with his album Timeless last year.

Acknowledging the achievement, music-monitoring platform The Data Dash highlighted Davido’s feat on X (formerly Twitter), stating:

“@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 consecutive days, with all new songs from his album Timeless.”

Reposting the announcement, Davido confidently responded, “Remains the only!”

This milestone cements Davido’s influence in the Afrobeats industry and shows his ability to set trends and redefine success in the digital music era.
