Our correspondent gathered that the victim, a hairstylist who was carrying hot water she was to use on a customer’s braided hair collided with Ejike’s son while coming out from the compound to her shop.

It was learned that when they collided, some hot water from the kettle splashed Ejike’s son on the leg.

Hearing his son cry, Ejike rushed out of his room, heard what transpired, took the hot water, and poured Blessing who was still sympathizing with the little boy.

The victim was severely injured on the breast, with burns on her face resulting from splashes.

Ejike was said to have absconded after the incident while Blessing was taken to Azikiwe Police Division in Illabouchi, before she was rushed to the hospital.

Nwankwo, who is the elder brother of the victim, called for justice for his sister, stressing that his desire was for the Police to apprehend Ejike.

According to him, “if that man is apprehended he will see that what he did to my sister is not right, it’s not good, so I have to do the necessary thing by government taking over the matter, that’s my own. I am calling for justice.”

On her state of health, Nwankwo noted that, “by God’s grace due to the medication they have given her yesterday she is getting small better but the problem is, the money is too much, I have spent alot and I don’t have enough to spend.

“I am thinking what to do, that’s the situation now.”
