NDDC Inaugurate Committee For 2025 Budget, Calls Attention of Stakeholders

Preparing ahead of 2025 budget, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has inaugurated committee to be in charge of budget drafting.

The duties of the inaugurated committee members aim at the preparation and overseeing of the implementation of the 2025 budget.

Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of NDDC, highlighted the importance of the stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the budget in addressing the needs of the communities in the Niger Delta region.

He noted the need for proper consultation before draughting the 2025 budget.

For greater participation, the Managing Director of NDDC said the 2025 budget will acknowledge the inclusion of nine state governors in the Niger Delta region.

He urged them to learn from previous challenges seen in 2024 for proper delivery and enhancement of the effectiveness of the forthcoming budget.

Ogbuku calls for prioritizing key areas, especially in education and infrastructure, including the ongoing projects, while introducing a few new initiatives that will focus on the objectives of the NDDC to better the lives of Niger Delta people.

The key officials present are the Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku and Executive Director of Corporate Services Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, among several departmental directors.

While thanking the Managing Director for setting up the committee, Davies Okarevu, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, pledges that the committee will adhere to achieving the goals of the commission.
