Gov. Fubara Swears in Five Commissioners, Two Special Advisers

Governor Siminalayi Fubara sworn in five commissioners and two special advisers on Wednesday.

The swearing-in exercise took place at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House in Port Harcourt.

Governor Fubara, while speaking at the event, praised his loyalists and charged the newly sworn-in commissioners and special adviser to ensure that they carry out their duties diligently as they were recommended by leaders.

“So, I want to say that finding yourself here is an opportunity for you to defend the government and also ensure that what these millions of people fought for about 11 and a half months ago is not in vain,” Fubara said.

Moreso, Governor Fubara reiterated that his administration will ensure the provision of quality development in both infrastructure and appropriate social amenities for the people of Rivers State.

Also, Governor Fubara pledged to deliver his responsibility to over 8 million supporters.

Most especially, Governor Fubara gave words of advice to the appointed representative of non-indigenes, an Abia-born Dr. Samuel Anya, to accommodate all non-indigenes from the West, East, North, and minorities with equal treatment.

The names of the newly sworn-in commissioners are: Hon. Ilamu Arugu (Abua/Odual); Dr Roland Obed-Whyte (Degema); Sir Austin Emeka Nnadozie (Etche); Hon. Samuel Eyiba (Ahoada West); and Hon Samuel Anya (Abia State); while the Special Advisers include Barrister Forgive Amachree (Ahoada-West); and Mr Achor Nna (Obio-Akpor).
