EFCC Arrests Three Suspects for Impersonating Evangelist

In fighting crime and ensuring the safety of citizens, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Benin Zonal Directorate has apprehended three alleged fraudsters for impersonating an evangelist, Chukwuebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach.

During the revelation on Friday via their social media page, the commission stated the three suspects, Odion Victor, Amos Godwin, and Ayomide Michael, engaged in practice of scamming gullible members of the public through replicated social media platforms.

Noting that the three suspects were arrested after information were received from credible source.

To this, EFCC revealed the suspects allegedly demanded financial help from church members in order to assist sick people, sow seeds for spiritual breakthrough, or for special prayers.

While the law will take it course, the commission acknowledged that the three suspects will be charged to court after the investigation process has been concluded.
