As the fight against insecurity continues in Ahoada East Local Government Area (LGA), the newly appointed Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairman, Happy Benneth, says his leadership will continue to tackle insecurity and maintain a peaceful atmosphere, and there is no going back.

On Wednesday, in a signed document shared on X, the SSA to the Chairman of Media and Publicity, Andrew Isaac, stated that Mr. Benneth disclosed this while speaking to the pressmen at the inauguration ceremony of the newly political appointees to the CTC Chairman of Ahoada-East LGA held in Ahoada Town.

He further added that the administration will collaborate with key authorities to see that they win over insecurity, which poses a threat to residents, as they are committed to protecting lives and properties in the LGA.

“Our primary mandate is to ensure we fight and reduce insecurity in our domain, and there is no going back on it because safety of lives and property is the priority of this administration. We will collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure this task is achieved in the shortest possible time. Modalities are already in place.”.

In Mr. Benneth’s disclosure, he said the state government has planned and is ready to empower, unite, and put a smile on their faces.

He further explained, “We are still making more appointments with the government so that everyone is carried along. This is the focal point of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State.”
