Neo’s Loyalty Dilemma: Why He Chose Tolanibaj Over Cousin Venita for Immunity

Neo Akpofure, a former housemate of Big Brother Naija All Stars, explained why he nominated Tolanibaj for immunity instead of his cousin, Venita Akpofure. The new nomination process, “Pardon Me Please,” introduced by Big Brother, led to Neo nominating Tolanibaj for immunity, while she also nominated him.

Although Neo and Tolanibaj didn’t receive the most nominations, they still chose Tolanibaj for immunity, along with Soma, Angel (the Black Envelope winner), and Kiddwaya (the Head Of House), who were exempted from the possible eviction this week.

During his diary session, Neo justified his choice by highlighting the loyalty between him and Tolanibaj, emphasizing how they have each other’s back. He expressed that loyalty is significant to him, and it is a shared value with Tolanibaj, which is why he nominated her for immunity.

Notably, Neo had been surprised to see his cousin, Venita, join the show as a housemate. Both Neo and Venita come from an Urhobo family in Delta State, making them the first cousins to appear in the same season of the reality show. While Neo participated in the season 5 ‘Lockdown’ edition in 2020, Venita had been a former housemate during the Double Wahala Season 3 edition in 2019.

Now, as part of the All Stars edition, Neo and Venita will compete against each other and the other housemates for the grand prize of N120 million.
