Police confirm killing of notorious cult leader in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a notorious cult leader, Precious Adiele, in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt, the State capital.

Adiele, reportedly the leader of a cult group, Bar Beach Iceland, was killed during a clash between the cult group, and a rival cult in the area.

It was gathered that trouble started when members of the Castro House of Deygbam ambushed Adiele around Beribabou axis of Gambia Street in Mile Two area of Diobu and gave him several machete cuts, leading to his death.

In a statement on Sunday, the state police spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko said the Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong, has deployed tactical teams to the area to ensure no further breakdown of law and order.

According to her, “The CP has deployed tactical teams to ensure no further breakdown of law and order and arrest other members of the cult group meanwhile the investigation ongoing.”
