Man poisoned self to death over wife’s alleged infidelity in Ahoada West

A 34yr old Onoriode Kelvin on Saturday poisoned himself to death following alleged infidelity by his wife in JK 3 Community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The deceased, whose father hails from Delta State and mother from Ahoada West was said to have been born in Ahoada West and was living in Ahoada West until his death.

When contacted for details, a close friend of the deceased who gave his name as Momoh told our correspondent that the incident happened in the morning.

Momoh said, “I got a call that my friend has taken his own life and I went to his house and it was confirmed true.

“The deceased drank some poisonous substances that killed him.

“Though, we suspected the reason for killing himself to come from the infidelity of his wife.

“He has been complaining severally that his wife has been sleeping with other men which I and his siblings know very well to be what he kept complaining about.”
