Cole defeats Abe, Flag-Amakree to win Rivers APC guber primaries

Tonye Cole, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 general elections has emerged the gubernatorial candidate of the party for the 2023 general election.

Cole defeated Senator Magnus Abe, Ojukaye Flag-Amakree, Sekonte Davies to win the primaries.

Pastor Tonye Cole has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial primaries in Rivers State.

Magnus Abe got 1 vote, Bernard Mikkor got 2 votes while Tonye Cole got 986 votes.

Dr Sekonte Davies got 47, Ibinabo Michael West got 43, while Ojukaye Flag Amachree got 190.

Cole will face the gubernatorial candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Sim Fubara and that of the Accord Party, Dumo Lulu-Briggs.
