A member of the Cross River State House of Assembly, representing Akpabuyo State constituency, Lady Elizabeth Edem Ironbar has passed on.
According to family sources, the late Ironbar died in the late hours of Tuesday, after a protracted illness.
She was a two-term member of the Assembly, inaugurated in June 2015, into the 9th Assembly.
Known as a tough politician, she was among the lawmakers who refused to defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC, alongside other members who joined Governor Ben Ayade.
She also championed the Cross River State Disability Commission bill.
