PANDEF asks Pres. Buhari to make Dikio substantive head of PAP

PAN-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has commended President Buhari for renewing Col. Milland Dikio’s appointment as Interim Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

The forum has appealed to the president to consider Dikio as a substantive administrator of the programme following his excellent performance in the previous year.

In a statement, the forum’s chairman, Emmanuel Essien, showered encomium on Dikio as a man of vision, who he said would return the amnesty programme to its core mandate.

He also charged the re-appointed Interim Administrator to use his position to maintain the improvements made in the PAP.

According to him, “Our expectation in this coming year is that Dikio will continue the sanitisation of the amnesty programme and ensure he returns the programme to its core mandate. We hope to see these mandates are achieved in this administration.

“Dikio is a man of foresight and vision; so we, at PANDEF, believe he will deliver on these expectations.

“While we applaud the president for re-appointing Dikio, we appeal he makes him the substantive administrator because so far, he has performed so well in the capacity given to him. This is our only concern.”

Dikio’s appointment was renewed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, following an elapse of his one year tenure.
