Some Women from Etche local government area have protested against the brutal and inhumane treatment meted out on the Etche Legislative Leader Cynthia Nwala, by Prince Chinedu Onyeche, the Chief security adviser to Etche Council Chairman, Obinna Anyanwu.

The women in their black attires marched to the government house demanding justice and the arrest of the culprit who perpetrated the heinous crime against their daughter, wife and mother.

They lamented that they are not happy for the humiliation faced by their leader, stripping her naked publicly, just as they maintained that such actions are embarrassing and degrading to women in general.

They called for a stop to all forms of abuse and violence on the women folks in the Etche area and some parts of the state, noting that injury to one woman is an injury to all.

They said further that the African men should learn to respect, value and honour women as it was through pain and the rigorous process they were brought forth into the world by a woman.

The women appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike, security agencies and stakeholders in the state to intervene in the matter and ensure justice is served, as to prevent reoccurrence of such.

They call on the Governor to invite the Etche Council Chairman Boss, Obinna Anyanwu for questioning over the assault carried out by his Chief Security Adviser, Prince Chinedu Onyeche.
