A forty-year-old man identified as Stephen has been rescued by Officers of the Mile 3 Divisional Headquarters of the Nigerian police, Nkpolu from angry mob trying lynch him for allegedly having sex with his gay partner in a public toilet located inside Mile 3 Motor park Diobu, Port Harcourt.

The incident occurred at early hours of Saturday.

Stephen who is a father of one was allegedly caught in the act by the public toilet attendant.

In an interview with our correspondent, Vitalis Andrew, the toilet attendant revealed that Stephen and another man who escaped paid him money to make use of different toilets.

According to him, few minutes later he heard moaning sounds like a man making love to a woman inside one of the toilets which made him climb the wall that separated the two toilets, only to see Stephen having sex with his fellow man.

Andrew explained further that when he raised an alarm, Stephen and his partner took to their heels, noting that through the help of traders around the motor park, Stephen was later caught.

On his part, Manager of the Mile 3 Park Public toilet, Chamberline Dappa, said the attendant quickly drew his attention to what happened and he immediately called in the Police to intervene and rescue the alleged homosexual perpetrator from mob action.

Dappa explained that he later followed the Police officers to the station to make statement alongside the witness who caught Stephen and his partner in the homosexual act in his facility.

When contacted, the Spokesperson Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni told our correspondent that he will get in touch with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Mile 3 Nkpolu station.
