Some stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress in Rivers have declared the party’s readiness to conduct a hitch-free local government congress.

Reacting to the court injunction on the ward congresses held over 2 weeks ago, and following the announcement on the forthcoming local government congresses, the leaders maintained that the party is in good shape and ready for congresses.

Spokesperson, APC Rivers state OGBONNA NWUKE explained that the party will ensure all lawful procedures are followed to achieve hitch-free congresses in the state. He added that the process used by the party to produce wards delegates also applies to local government and state delegates.

A party stalwart WENEDA WALI, who said though the party will not feign ignorance of internal crises, added that the party has been able to manage its crises.

Former Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial district under APC, SENATOR ANDREW UCHENDU said the ward congress exercise in the state has been concluded and cannot be overturned irrespective of the court injunction engineered by a few grieved members.

Meanwhile, on his part, another Party stalwart AJAELU INNOCENT while explaining that the party will only know its stand after the hearing in court slated to hold on the 28th of August, maintained that it is unlawful for congresses to hold in Rivers state where there is an existing court injunction.
