Veteran Nigerian actress Rachel Oniga dies at 64

Veteran actress, Rachel Oniga has died at the age of 64.

The actress, who is originally from Eku, in Delta state was born in Ebutte Metta on the 23rd of May 1957.

According to reports, the actress died on Friday night July 30th from Covid-19 complications.

The veteran actress’ death is quite a shock and a big loss in the film industry. The actress who celebrated her birthday in May was seen a week back on set in Ogun State.

The actress has starred in Nollywood classics like ‘Owo Blow’ which is her debut Yoruba movie and a host of other films. Some of these are Sango, Passion of Mind, power of sin, Restless mind, Doctor Bello, 30 Days in Atlanta, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, The wedding Party, and my Village People which was released this year.

Oniga is said to have shot some scenes in a movie at Mowe, Ogun state earlier this week before her death. Other details are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
