Rivers Chief Judge bows out

The Rivers State Chief Judge Justice Iyaye Lamikara is set to bow out from service after the successful completion of her service tenure.

She was sworn in as Chief Judge on 8 March 2016. Justice Simeon Amadi has been selected by the Nigerian Judicial Commission, NJC to replace her.

Consequently, the state judiciary will hold a validatory concession in her honour tomorrow.

A statement by the chief registrar of the high court indicates that the event is slated for the chief judge’s ceremonial court hall, high court complex Port Harcourt.
