Five die in Ondo’s auto crash, robbery attack

It was a black Sunday for Ondo state as no fewer than five people lost their lives in two separate incidents of a robbery attack and a road accident.

The road accident was caused by the vehicle driver who was at high speed, lost control of the car, swerved from the road to the nearby bushes, killed three people, and left others with severe injuries.

According to an eyewitness, the accident occurred around 7 am on Sunday as the vehicle headed towards Akure, the state capital.

In the same vein, two guards of Rano Filling Station, along Akure-Ondo Expressway, Akure, were killed by suspected armed robbers in the early hours of Sunday while they were in their station.

Their bodies were discovered by members of staff who resumed on Sunday for their shift.
