Just in: Cultists kill 3 in Rivers Community

Some suspected cultists on Thursday night stormed Buan community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, killing 3 persons.

Confirming the incident to our correspondent, the Traditional Head of Kwuawa community in Khana LGA, His Royal Chief Magnus Edoor said: “There is sporadic shooting going on now at Buan community in Khana LGA.

“Reason behind the shooting is still unknown.

“Security agencies take note.

“Three boys suspected to belong to a cult group have been killed this night by another rival cult group who came shooting.

“Immediately the Divisional Police Officer of Khana LGA left, shooting has started again up till now.”

Another source and a civil rights activist, Comrade Matthew Dighi in a chat with our correspondent also confirmed the killing of three persons during the shooting.

He said: “Three persons have confirmed dead. That is the report for now.”

A crack team of TPCN reporters had been deployed to closely monitor the incident for more details.
