The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has confirmed that the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, attended the institution between 1976 and 1979.
The National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who has been feuding with Obaseki had on Tuesday expressed doubt over the governor’s certificate.
The Registrar of UI, Mrs. Olubunmi O. Faluyi, in a statement, said the governor studied classics from the institution.
The university said: “Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State, graduated from the University of Ibadan where he studied classics.
“Mr. Obaseki gained admission to the university in 1976 and graduated in 1979 with a Second Class Honours, Lower Division. Records of his admission and graduation are intact in the archives of the university.”
The governor has, however, dared Oshiomhole to reveal the University he attended.
