Gracious David West’s co-accused denies disposing victim’s corpse

A second Defendant in the murder case of the serial killer who murdered several ladies in hotel rooms in Port Harcourt, Nimi ThankGod, has denied disposing one of the victim’s corpses allegedly murdered by Gracious David West along Aggrey Road Port Harcourt Township.

Nimi ThankGod who is the manager of the hotel is facing trial for allegedly dumping a polythene bag along Aggrey Road, Port Harcourt Township contain the corpse of one of the victims allegedly murdered by Gracious David West in the hotel room she managed, located at Bende Street, Port Harcourt.

Testifying before Justice Adolphus Enebeli of the Rivers State High Court, Nimi told the court that on 18th September 2019, she only checked in Gracious West into one of the rooms in the hotel, stressing that no lady was murdered in their hotel room.

She said further that a lady identified as Benita Etim whom Gracious David West used bedspread to tie her neck, hand, and legs to the bed in the hotel room he checked into, was rescued and later survived the ordeal.

Nimi told the court that Benita Etim was giving a sum of five thousand naira by the Director of the hotel to report the case to the police.

Our correspondent Tina Amanda, reports that Justice Adolphus Enebeli, after refusing to grant a no-case submission filed by the 2nd Defendant’s Counsel Lezina Amegwa, adjourned the cay to 10th June 2020 for continuation of Defence witness.
