Breaking: NDDC shuts down headquarters over covid-19 scare, staff asked to self-isolate

The Niger Delta Development Commission has shut down its headquarters in Port Harcourt over coronavirus scare.

Ibanga Etang, the Acting Director, Finance and Administration died of suspected coronavirus on Thursday morning at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital in Port Harcourt.

In an internal memo sighted by theportcitynews and signed by Silas Anyanwu, the commission directed staff to shut down for two weeks with immediate effect.

It also ordered staff to go into self-isolation while waiting for further details.
