As the coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage the country, with daily infections running into hundreds, Rivers State has recorded two deaths from complications arising from the virus infection.
The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Wednesday, announced 196 new covid-19 cases bringing the number of total infections to 1728.
According to a tally by the NCDC, as at Wednesday, the number of States with confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria has also increased to thirty-four.
This is as a total of fourteen States have recorded COVID-19 related deaths.
There have been 307 recoveries and 51 fatalities from the deadly virus.
While Rivers has recorded 7 cases so far, 2 have been discharged, 2 have died while 3 are still receiving treatments.
