The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has dragged a 500-level student of the University of Port Harcourt, Sunday Deele Noble, before a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt for allegedly engaging in internet fraud.
The 25-year-old Deele was arrested and arraigned before Justice E. A Obile by the for impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence.
Deele, who was in the dock, pleaded not guilty to the four-count charge but was remanded in the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre.
The defendant was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Port Harcourt’s Zonal office, today March 10, 2020, on a four-count charge.
The prosecuting lawyer, E.G Omeje urged the court to fix a date for commencement of trial
But the defense lawyer, F. E Enigwe orally moved an application for the bail of the defendant which was opposed by the prosecution
Justice Obile ordered that the defendant be remanded in the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre pending determination of bail application while the matter was adjourned till April 6, 2020.
