Breaking: Gunshots, smoke everywhere as protests rock Yenagoa (Pictures)

Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state has been thrown into a state of turmoil as residents trooped to the streets to protest the nullification of the election of David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress.

Gunshots from security agencies rented the air as they laboured to quell the rising tension.

Tombia Street in Yenagoa witnessed burning of tyres as angry residents called on the Supreme Court to rescind its decision.
