Technical Adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma, says the team has not done badly in the first stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL.
Rivers United is currently third on the NPFL table with 32 points from 19 games.
Stanley Eguma while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt after their one nil victory over Kwara United in match-day 19 of the league NPFL said the team will make the necessary improvements in the second stanza of the league.
“This is a league and is a race because, in the end, you amazed what you have achieved. So far the first round is over and I don’t think we have done badly.

But I think there is room for improvement. Our position on the NPFL table is not too bad, but I think with more effort and hard work in the second half we are going to perform better” he said.
Stanley Eguma also said that the technical crew will solve the goal-scoring problems of the team in the second stanza of NPFL.
He said more additions will be added to the attacking department.
Eguma also commended the players for their wonderful performance against Kwara United and in the first stanza of the league.
In the meantime, Head Coach of Kwara United Usman Bifor has commended the League Management Company for the La-Liga NPFL coaching clinic.
Usman Bifor said the seminar would help coaches to give the right knowledge to players.
Usman Bifor also said that Kwara United’s main target this season is to maintain its NPFL statues.
However, Lobi Stars of Makurdi is topping the NPFL after the end of the first round of the league.
Lobi Stars is topping the league with 35 points from 19 games while Plateau United of Jos is second with 33 points from the same number of matches.
