‘We’ill use local solutions to solve local problems – Nwanosike

Samuel Nwanosike, the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, has said his administration would use local solutions to solve local problems.

Nwanosike who stated this on Friday during the flag-off of the construction of 730 metres drainage system in African Engineer Street and the rehabilitation of Elele Motor Park, said that all problems are local.

He noted that the projects would impact on the welfare of the people, adding that he and his team were in the ward to fulfil their campaign promises.

According to him: ‘These projects will impact on the welfare of our people. While we were around here on campaign during one of our visits to Ward 4, this road was uncomfortable to us just the way it is now. The motor park was an eyesore. And it is a motor park built by Ikwerre Local Government Council’.

Nwanosike said that he and his team, as averred during the campaign period, are using local solutions to solve all the local problems they have because all the problems are local, hence they are making sure that they give the people projects that will impact their welfare.

He revealed that the funds for the projects are already in their coffers and pressure would be mounted on the contractor to do a good job.

He also appealed to the people of Ward 4 not to disturb or harass the contractor, Cedar Construction Company Limited, while doing the work.
