Amnesty office empowers ex-aggitators in Okrika

Youths in the Niger Delta region have been advised Presidential Amnesty Office to see entrepreneurship as a means of accelerating the development of the area.

The amnesty office advised on an empowerment programme in Okrika local government Rivers state.

The Presidential Amnesty Program which paid a visit to the palace of the Amayanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, Ateke Tom, also distributed business starter packs to trained ex-agitators in the community.

The event, the coordinators said, was part of the Federal Government’s vision aimed at developing the Niger Delta region through job creation.

Items distributed to the100 ex-agitators were sewing machines, refrigerators and power generating sets.
