A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Etche local government area, Mr Johnson Ukaegbu, has regained freedom after been kept five days by his abductors.

The party chieftain who was released without ransom was abducted some days ago along Odufor/Night road.

He was found at Egwi Okpala bush by a combined effort of the Nigeria Police and the youths of the community ably led by its chief security officer.

His abduction had sparked reactions throughout the LGA, causing some youths to lay accusing fingers on the LGA boss over what they termed the lackadaisical attitude towards handling of security matters.

Mr Ukaegbu, who thanked the people of Etche for their solidarity during his stay in the hands of abductors called for stiffer measures in tackling security-related problems.
