NDDC boss orders contractors to fix Chokoko/Okomoko roads within one month

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has promised to intervene and repair dilapidated roads in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Managing Director of the Commission, Prof Nelson Brambayiefa, during a visit to Etche Local Government Area under the invitation of Ogbakor Etche, promised to fixed the dilapidated roads from Chokoko/Okomoko roads down to Igbodo axis of the LGA.

The deplorable condition of the road has been a major source of concern for the Etche Nation.

Speaking to our correspondent, the President General of Ogbakor Etche, Sir Machy Nwodim, applauded the move and the commission’s readiness to fix the road as it is the major link between Etche Nation and other ethnic nationality.

He further sought the NDDS Boss support in hosting a forth coming Economic Summit geared towards positively touching and changing the lives of Etche Nation.

On his part, Prof. Brambayiefa, thanked the apex socio-cultural group of Etche ethnic nationality and assured them of the commission’s determination in ensuring that Etche is librated economically.

He said that the commission will partner with Ọgbakọ Etche in hosting the forth coming Economic Summit.

He further directed contractors to immediately move to site and ensure that the road be fixed within a month.
