Snakes sack Ondo Assembly as Lawmakers run for their lives

A sitting by the Ondo State House of Assembly came to an abrupt end on Thursday following the invasion of the assembly building by snakes during the routine plenary session of House.

Punch reports that the snakes fell from the ceiling of the hollow chamber on Wednesday and Thursday, causing commotion in the house.

According to a source who spoke to Punch, the one that fell during the Thursday sitting, almost fell on the Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oloyeloogun while presiding over the session.

The Assembly, therefore, adjourned its sitting sine die (Indefinitely) until certain repairs were carried out on the Assembly complex.
