Breaking: Police kill 3 suspected robbers along East-West Road

Security operatives have shot dead three suspected criminals terrorizing the Mbiama axis of the East West road in Ahoada West local government area of the state.

Our reporter gathered that officers of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit in Rivers State led by JUSTIN ADAKA engaged the criminals in a gun battle which led to the death of the three suspected criminals.

BOLLO YUSUF a Deputy Superintendent of Police who also led the operation said the monitoring team had traced the criminals to their hideout following a tip off, adding that the hoodlums opened fire the moment they sighted them approach their camp.

YUSUF identified the criminals as Prince OWOTOR, aka General who died on the spot and Bishop and Progress Sam who were rushed to University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and they were later confirmed dead by a Doctor.

Items recovered during the operation include two locally made single barrel guns with five live cartridges; seven mobile phones, wraps of Indian hemp and charms.
