The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has nullified results from Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State following incidents of ballot boxes snatching and destruction of electoral materials by hoodlums.
The Minister of Transportation and the Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election campaign, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi hails from the Local Government Area.
INEC returning officer for the LGA, Ibiture Pepple made the position known during a press briefing on Monday.
