Body of drowned UNIPORT student recovered

The body of a student of the University of Port Harcourt has been recovered after drowning in a river for three days.

Reports from our sources said late Master Alawari Rowland Zeus was until his sudden death, a 400 level student of Department of Animal Science who went to Abuluoma sand city for a mini picnic with some friends but got drowned on the process.

He was said to have been rescued and was kept on a dredging pipe to recuperate before a speeding boat swept him back into the river.

It was gathered that the body of the deceased was recovered at the river at about 6 pm on Thursday 7th February 2019 and was buried as tradition demands.

As at the time of filing this report, the family members are yet to make any official statement as the sister to the deceased has been hospitalized due to trauma from the death of her brother.
