APC will takeover Rivers State come 2019 – Cole

One of the All Progressives Congress APC gubernatorial aspirants in Rivers State, Mr Tonye Cole has assured the people of good governance adding that the Party will take over Rivers State come 2019.

Mr Cole who addressed supporters on Sunday during a rally in Obio/Akpor local government said he would bring in his global expertise in the state if voted into power.

The gubernatorial hopefully assured the people of the state that he would attract global investments to boost the economy of Rivers state and shift it from oil dependency.

‘’ When I take over power in Rivers State, our children will have quality education, there will be peace in the state and the people will rejoice’’.

I am a global person, I have worked in many capacities as a diplomat, so I will use my influence to bring in global investments in the state which will benefit the entire nation,’’ he said.

Mr Cole also said that his government would bring in a lot of positive changes in the areas of quality education, security, peace and development.

He also remarked that he did not join politics because of money but to make contributions and sacrifices to nation-building and unity among Nigerians.

Mr Cole, however, warned the electorates against voting for candidates because of monetary gains but urged them to vote for candidates that would deliver democracy dividends to the people.

He used the opportunity to appeal to the people to support him in his gubernatorial race in Rivers state.
