Abe’s ambition: APC Zonal Secretary discredits publications

Gladys Nweke

The Zonal Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, South-South, Dave Okumgba, has described a story making the rounds about an alleged order from the APC National chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, directing the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, to endorse the governorship aspiration of the Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Magnus Abe, as the height of mischief and cheap propaganda.

Okumgba, in an exclusive chat with Theporcitynews.com, said the online publication suggesting that Oshiomhole had summoned Amaechi and Abe to Abuja on Monday for a peace talk which resulted in the said agreement, is false.

He reiterated that such imaginary meeting never held and expressed dismay at the increased level of desperation exhibited by 5th columnists.

He noted that Amaechi is still focused on ensuring that a riverine governorship candidate emerges on the platform of the APC and advised party faithful to disregard the fake news aimed at misleading the unsuspecting electorates.

Condemning the said publication, he assured APC members in Rivers State that the party remains intact under the leadership of Amaechi, who is bent on ensuring that power is wrestled from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the general election.
