The Senate President Bukola Saraki has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Senate President announced his defection on Twitter.
Recall that over a dozen lawmakers defected from the ruling APC to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party a week ago.
Although there has been doubts as to whether the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives will defect too, Saraki tweeted that after due consultations, he has decided to take leave of the APC.
I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
