Nigerian-Brazilian striker Dominic Uzoukwu netted two goals for Beijing BG in their 3-1 road win over Zhejiang Yiteng in the Chinese League One on Saturday, July 28.
A looping header from the number 31 gave Beijing BG the lead in the 32nd minute and he grabbed his brace in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time with an outrageous half-volley from 30 yards after seeing the goalkeeper off his line.
Uzoukwu has now scored in each of his last three games in the league, taking his tally for the season to 8 goals from 14 appearances, of which 13 were starts.
He started his run against Nei Mongol Zhongyou FC in the last game before the World Cup break on May 20, and registered his name of the score-sheet against Dalian Transcendence FC in the penultimate round of matches.
Elsewhere, Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to score a late goal for Leicester City in their 2-1 loss to Udinese, following a swift counter attack initiated by Ahmed Musa.
Iheanacho, Musa and Wilfred Ndidi were introduced in the 60th minute for their maiden appearance in pre-season for the Foxes.
