The Federation of International Women Lawyers, FIDA, has applied to take over the prosecution of Pastor Chidiebere Okoafor who is facing murder charge before Justice C.D Green of the High Court in Port Harcourt.

Pastor Okoroafor who is the founder of Altar of Solution Church, Izuoma in Afam, Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers state allegedly murdered his pregnant mistress, Concilla Ezeawa and Uloma Onweagba and her daughter Christabel.

The pastor had since pleaded not guilty to the allegations saying they were fabricated.

The matter which was slated for hearing on Thursday could however not continue as FIDA applies to take over the matter from the police.

Theportcitynews.com correspondents reported that the defence counsel, Innocent Ekwu, objected to the application but the presiding Judge, Justice C.D Green, adjourned the matter to September 26 for hearing.

Counsel to the Police, Godday Amadi told correspondent Lorine Emenike that they were ready to open their case today with their first witness but will now have to hand over to FIDA in the circumstance.
