Port Harcourt NBA chairman harps on legal ethics.

The Port Harcourt branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has said it will embark on campaigns to sensitize legal practitioners on adherence to ethics.

Chairman of NBA in Port Harcourt, Sylvester Adaka, stated that his administration is taking bold steps on the issue of professional misconduct and quarks within the legal profession.

Speaking with our correspondent, Lorine Emenike at the NBA secretariat Port Harcourt, Adaka urged members of the public not to take laws into their hands whenever they are having issues with lawyers, but report them to the disciplinary committee set up by the branch.

Adaka also responded to the issue of stamp and steal, especially on the delay in receiving seal.

The NBA Chairman said the branch will continue to advocate independent judiciary in the State, without any form of interference.
