The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, has described the commissioning of projects as part of activities marking the 3rd year anniversary of his government by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, as a Jamboree.
Dr. Dakuku Peterside while advising Governor Nyesom Wike, noted that rather than inviting guests from outside the state to come and commission projects, the Governor should channel such funds to the payment of workers’ salaries.
The APC governorship candidate in the 2015 general election, alleged that so many Rivers workers, including those with the Rivers State sustainable development agency, RSSDA, Rivers State University Staff, Rivers State management traffic authority, Rivers State signage and advertising authority and others are suffering lack of payment of salaries while the government embarks on what he referred to as a Jamboree.
