APC led Rivers State Government will end Black Soot in 6 months – Davies Ikanya

The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State, Davies Ikanya, has stated that an APC Governor will end the black soot menace ravaging the state, 6 months into office if elected by 2019.

Davies Ikanya also dismissed Governor Wike’s claim that the APC led Federal Government is plotting to depopulate Rivers State through the dangerous soot, saying the Governor knows the leader’s of the groups involved in illegal oil refining.

In a statement by his media consultant, Chukwuemeka Eze and made available to this paper, Ikeanya applauded the federal Government for what he termed, a concerted effort in finding the causes of the soot and how to curtail its menace in Rivers State.

The statement however added that any effort without Governor Wike collaborating and assisting to call the illegal refiners to stop the act of operating illegal refineries, will be an exercise in futility.
