Ordega on target for Washington Spirit.

Super Falcons star Fransisca Ordega was on target for Washington Spirit as they played 1-1 draw with Portland Thorns.

Spirit who lost at home last week to North Carolina courage hit the first goal in the 37th minutes through Ordega’s simple tap in.

Thorns rallied back and leveled the scores on the stroke of half time from the penalty spot courtesy of Sinclair.

Spirit proved to be the better side in the second stanza but Thorns stood firm and bullied all their attack.

The Spirit returns home next Saturday, April 28 to host the Chicago Red Stars at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
