Port Harcourt High Court issues bench warrant on Amachree

A high court sitting in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, maintained its bench warrant against former Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area, Ojukaye Flag Amachree to face murder charges.

It will be recalled that Justice Chiwendu Nwogu issued a bench warrant on the 16th of July 2017, to the Rivers state commissioner of police to produced the accused, Ojukaye Flag Amachree after he was granted bail in November 2016.

Ojukaye Flag Amachree is standing trial on a two count murder charge.

When the case was called up in court on Wednesday, both the accused, Ojukaye Flag Amachree, and his counsel, Emenike Ebete, were absent in court.

The state prosecuting counsel, Damilare Adeyemi George told TPCN that the defense counsel, Emenike Ebete, claimed he doesn’t know the whereabouts of his client, Ojukaye Flag Amachree.

The case has been adjourned to April 11, to give time to the accused, Ojukaye Flag Amachree to appear in court.
