The Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Chris Green, has lavished praise and rewards on Rivers United, following their thrilling 2-1 victory over Akwa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League’s Matchday 5. The team received a ₦2 million cash incentive for their impressive performance. The Commissioner has a character of gifting sports teams under the umbrella of Rivers State.
