Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for appointing Dame Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. Fubara commended Walson-Jack for being a trailblazer and breaking the glass ceiling as an ambassador of Rivers State and the Niger Delta region.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara noted that Walson-Jack’s remarkable career in the Civil Service, culminating in her appointment as a Permanent Secretary in 2017, has demonstrated exemplary leadership, integrity, courage, perseverance, and resilience.

“As you take up duties as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation effective August 14, we are proud of the significant milestone you have achieved in your public service career,” he said.

Fubara stated that Walson-Jack’s appointment will inspire many young girls in the state to strive for greatness, and expressed hope that she will bring her wealth of experience to bear in her new role and introduce innovative approaches to implementing the service reforms outlined in President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governor pointed out that Mr. President had once again shown that he remained a leader committed to fairness, justice, and national integration while upholding the principles of federal character in his administration.
